COMMUNITY organisations in Monash can attend an information session in Glen Waverley on a new volunteer matching service from Volunteering Australia.
GoVolunteer is the first not-for-profit Website in Australia that connects volunteers with organisations they may be interested in assisting.
The service provides information for volunteers to make the best possible match between their personal requirements and choice of volunteer work.
It reduces the time and cost of recruiting volunteers and makes it easier for more Monash residents to make a difference in their local community.
Seek Communications and the Boston Consulting Group have assisted to set up the site, which already has more than 27,000 visits each month.
The information session is at Monash Volunteer Resource Centre, 583 Ferntree Gully Road, Glen Waverley, at 10am on Wednesday, September 18. To attend phone the centre on 95620414 or e-mail mvrc@cybernex.
