Doors are open
HOLMESGLEN Institute of TAFE will hold an information day on Saturday from 9am to 3pm at the TAFE’s conference centre, corner of Batesford and Warrigal Roads, Chadstone.
The day will include advice on course and career options as well as free seminars.

MP goes mobile
MT Waverley residents will be able to discuss their concerns with Chisholm Labor MP Anna Burke on Saturday.
The mobile office will be at Alvie Hall, corner High Street Road and Alvie Road, Mt Waverley, from 10am until noon.
Official visit
JUSTICE Minister Senator Chris Ellison will visit Mt Waverley on Friday noon to 1pm, at the Uniting Church Hall, 482 High Street Road, Mt Waverley.
The meeting is being hosted by Bennettswood Liberal MP Ron Wilson and Chisholm Liberal candidate Ros Clowes.

Fresh food
A SAFEWAY store opened at Station Street’s Oakleigh Central shopping centre on Saturday, creating 40 jobs to boost the local economy.
The store, which occupies the same site as the former Franklins store, opened its doors to shoppers at 8am.
It will trade 7am-10pm every day, and promises an extensive fresh food range.
