MORE than two million voters, including Monash residents, will go to the polls again in March to vote in council elections.
Electoral commissioner Colin Barry said the cut-off date for enrolments in the election was Monday, December 16.
“Enrolment for the state election closed in early November and I urge people in Monash who have turned 18 since then to enrol by December 16, so they can vote in the elections on Saturday, March 15.
“People who have changed their address must also update their enrolment by this date.”
Enrolment forms are available at any post office or Coles supermarket, or can be downloaded from the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) Website.
Completed forms must reach the VEC by 4pm on the cut-off date.
Some people who were not eligible to vote in state and federal elections may be able to enrol for the local government elections.
These include residents who are not Australian citizens, non-resident owners or occupiers of property and companies that own or occupy property in the municipality.
People can apply to enrol by contacting Monash Council on 95183517.
