SPRING marks a change in style at the Monash Gallery of Art.

Three exhibitions began last Friday, and will be on display at the corner of Jells and Ferntree Gully Roads, Wheelers Hill.

Just Married: a diverse selection of visual material associated with matrimony in Australia, on display until October 20.

It includes photos by one of Australia’s most well-known portrait, fashion and social photographers Athol Shmith.

Leisureland: for the past four years, Anne Zahalka has been gathering photos on contemporary leisure to explore Australia’s obsession with sport and spectacle.

It takes a wry, insightful look at the activities Australians engage in, and is on until November 3.

New Australiana: explores the culture of Australia 100 years after Federation, and is on until November 24.

It includes photos highlighting shifting values and multiculturalism.

Monash Gallery of Art opens 10am-6pm Tuesday-Friday and noon-5pm Saturday and Sunday.
